OneBoard — User Manual
OneBoard brings issues from multiple Jira projects onto a single, fast Kanban board — with cross-project status mapping, filtering, grouping, and inline editing. This guide walks through everything you can do.
1. Getting started
- In Jira, open the left sidebar → Apps → OneBoard (or Apps → OneBoard from the top navigation).
- The first time, you’ll see the Board Switcher. If you have no boards yet, click Create your first board.
OneBoard only ever shows issues you already have permission to see in Jira.
2. Create a board (3-step wizard)
Click + Create board and follow the steps:
Step 1 — Board info & projects
- Give the board a name (3–100 characters).
- Select the Jira projects to include (at least 2 — OneBoard is built for cross-project work). Use the search box to find projects quickly.
Step 2 — Columns & status mapping
- OneBoard proposes default columns (e.g. To Do · In Progress · Done) and auto-maps each project’s statuses by category.
- Drag the ⠿ handle to reorder columns; drag status chips between columns or into the unmapped area; rename columns inline; add columns with + Add column.
- Mapping is what lets different projects’ statuses line up under shared columns.
Step 3 — Review & create
- Check the summary and click Create board. You land on your new board.
